 The Fairy Queen is the most famous heritage train of India and the oldest working steam locomotive in the world. It started its maiden journey in 1855 for the erstwhile East Indian Railway. The Fairy Queen today holds the Guinness World Record for being the oldest locomotive in regular operation. The train has only one 50-seater AC passenger coach and a pantry coach, which serves delicious Rajasthani cuisine on board to its privileged passengers. The main attraction of the train is a large glass window, which provides an enchanting view of rural countryside and the unique and beautiful engine bogey of the train.
The itinerary of Fairy Queen includes 1 Night/ 2 Days memorable journey and it is exclusively designed for those who want to experience the beauty of Rajasthan's countryside and rich wildlife. The destinations of the train includes Delhi, Alwar and the world famous Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary. The train starts its journey on every 2nd and 4th Saturday, in the months of October to March from Delhi Cantonment Railway station.
